Trading with export markets can often be a complex and undefined process. It was for this reason that world-leading snack company, Pladis, (whose brands include Mcvitie’s Jaffa Cakes, Mini Cheddars and Twiglets) looked for a solution that could give them more control over their export order process.
We are now proud to announce that Pladis UK has gone live with SelfServe, OmPrompt’s B2B e-commerce portal, allowing their customers to place orders more easily and enabling Pladis to define and impose rules at the very start of the process.
The portal includes an intelligent calculator which visually displays available delivery dates, quantities and how much more they need to order before they can submit the order. In doing so, it eliminates the need for email and telephone conversations between the suppliers and trading partners, and it stops export teams needing to manually calculate business logic according to SLA and contractual agreements.
This project is an example of how our platform allows the trading process to become well defined, controlled and visible to the supplier, helping to drive customer satisfaction and process efficiencies in order management.
