Does OmPrompt Automate Telephone Orders? A Pladis Case Study

The growth of automation technology in order management has meant that the need to process non-EDI formats (PDF’s for example) is no longer a barrier to process efficiency and standardisation. But while efficiency is improving for some areas of order processing, we are still seeing many customers place orders over the telephone, which in a B2B environment can be very labour intensive and inefficient.

This is why we are pleased to announce that Pladis, whose brands include McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, Mini Cheddars and Twiglets, recently went live with a solution designed to improve the processing of telephone orders. OmPrompt deployed a web based order entry portal which helps team members process orders quickly. It works by applying customer specific rules automatically when a customer places an order. These help govern what they can order, how much of it, when and where it will be shipped to.  It is fully integrated into the OmPrompt platform and compliments Pladis’s existing non-EDI sales order automation solution enabling them to manage and process all of their manual customer orders through one central and specialised platform.

OmPrompt technology is empowering Pladis to further improve their order management process in a way which is well defined, controlled and visible to the them. To learn more about our order automation solutions please don’t hesitate to get in contact with one of our specialists.
